Daishi Commission

This is a piece that was commissioned...a factory fresh Daishi with a Smoke Jaguar camo scheme. Usually, I weather mine a bit but the customer wanted this to look right off the assembly line. I do a layered color scheme on the cockpit starting with a bronze color. Then I layer on some transparent gloss blue, then a mix of clear gloss blue and standard clear gloss. I continue diluting the clear blue with plain clear for a couple coats and finish it with a coat of straight clear. I don't know if all that is needed, but I like the result. To me, jeweled cockpits don't look right on mechs this large.
